Cornell Astronomy Professor Thomas
Gold in his book, "The Deep Hot Biosphere:
The Myth of Fossil Fuels," makes a case denying the origin
of gas, oil and coal as "fossil fuels." He claims there is no
such thing, and that bacteria living deep in the earth "contaminate"
these substances thereby making them appear to be of biological origin.
