The LeveL-DeviL compressor plugin utilizes the *'Sidechain Feedback' method found in classic analog, valve driven devices built from the 50's through the 60's, automatically sensing it's own output and adjusting the compression accordingly to give you extremely smooth, natural gain reduction without the unwanted side effects of valve circuits such as high noise and distortion (OK, run it through that distortion plug-in if you want!).
Due to the internal level detection design being more focussed on the main, musical part of the signal, the LeveL-DeviL compressor plugin is not as easily effected by extremely low and high frequencies which usually throw a normal compressor into chaos, disturbing the overall sound.
This design makes for an extremely musical compressor plugin.
Using only three, large custom knobs, the LeveL-Devil compressor plugin is extremely quick and easy to use like the classics and sounds great on everything including bass, drums and just superb on voice and across your entire mix. Utilizing the incredible resolution possibilities of the SCOPE/Pulsar system, you can't get an easier to use, smoother and more distortionless, analog style compressor anywhere.

These MP3 samples where made with LeveL-DeviL compressor plugin only
and have no other effects added including EQ.
Here is a dry, acoustic kit loop with no effect...
KIT DRY (MP3 41.1KB)
Here is the same loop fed through the LeveL-DeviL with medium gain reduction.
Note how the sound of the room increases and the kit sounds fatter and moves better.

Here is a dry vocal recorded with an Audio Technica AT-4041 small diaphragm microphone and a Mackie MS1202VLZ pre-amp with no other processing
Note how the level of the voice is not very consistent and is lacking bite.

Here it is with maximum reduction.
Note how the vocal now sounds fat and smooth with an airy quality which will make it sit better in the mix.

Note how the level of the bass is not very consistent and is lacking bite.

Here is the same bass with -19dB gain reduction to help smooth it out and at the same time adding punch while not increasing the background drum kit bleed too much.
